I believe that your wedding cake should be a work of art that will be a memorable part of your wedding and really stand out from the crowd.
As well as more traditionally styled wedding cakes, I specialise in designing ones that have a more contemporary look to them, characterised by a contrast of shapes and angles, sharp edges, a precise finish and the abstract use of colour.
This is combined with other design elements such as moulded wafer paper and chocolate.
I love using flowers, and depending on the season and preference, these can be fresh or realistic artificial silk flowers. You can read a handy blog post here
While I pride myself on designing wedding cakes that look visually stunning, I also draw on years of baking and cooking experience to create exciting and delicious wedding cake flavours that stand out the usual offerings, such as browned butter chocolate chip with roasted peach and bourbon salted caramel, or pistachio and orange cake with orange curd and caramelised pistachios.

Wedding Cake Pricing & Portion Size
By default, each tier will be composed of 4 layers of cake and be approximately 7-7.5" tall. When cutting, the tier is divided in two so that each portion contains two layers of cake giving an overall dimension of 1.7" x 1" x 3.5". It is possible to reduce the size of the portion, which will reduce the cost of the cake or if you have a budget that you're working with I can tell you what is possible for that amount.
If you're not sure that all of your guests will eat cake (and nobody wants waste), I recommend choosing a wedding cake size that will serve 80% of the number of guests.
The height of each tier can be increased or reduced to cater for the required number of portions, while mainting the same volume of cake served.
All of my wedding cakes are bespoke, with the final price dependent on the level of decoration and flavours chosen, therefore, it's impossible to give exact amounts.
The following prices will give you a guide based on a 'blank canvas' cake covered with a thin layer of white chocolate ganache for stabiity, and finished with a neutral-coloured buttercream, smooth sides and sharp edges. Two tier serving 50 standard portions - from £360 (semi-naked £340)
Two tier serving 100 standard portions - from £580 (semi-naked £550)
Three tier serving 100 standard portions - from £625 (semi-naked £595)
The wedding cake prices above are for round tiers, but I love to create different shapes, such as a square wedding cake and adding interesting angles. The cost for these will be higher because of the additional time it takes. You can read more about this inmy blog post
I also hire out my cake stand if required (£20 plus deposit of £200 against damage).
Delivery charge is based on distance and time from Tooting and the requirements of setting up at the venue.

Wedding Cake Tasting
The most delicious part of the design process! I don't have a shop you can visit for tasting, but can prepare a wedding cake taste box of 3 mini cakes for £35 plus delivery. Additional flaovurs can be ordered for £10 each. I always encourage couples to be a little more adventurous when choosing wedding cake flavours
Further Consultation & Sketching
If you enjoyed the mini cakes (and I'm sure you will), we can move on to the fun part of the design the cake. I take my inspiration from the details you can provide me: the particular theme of the wedding, flowers, colour palette, wedding dress etc. It's also a great help if you have a mood board or have been collecting images on Pinterest and have seen any particular design features on my website that you like.
I will put everything together and produce a series of sketches to get your feedback on. These can then be tweaked up arrive at the final wedding cake design and price, at which point I will send you an invoice confirming all of the details.
Wedding Cake Delivery & Setup
I will communicate directly with the venue/wedding planner/florist etc throughout the process in order to ensure that everything is coordinated on the day.
Every wedding cake I make is delivered and set up by myself to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition and positioned correctly. All you have to do is relax (hopefully), and enjoy your day.
