FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS MY ABOUT CELEBRATION CAKES & WEDDING CAKES

CAN YOU MAKE ME A SPECIAL CELEBRATION OR WEDDING CAKE DESIGN?

All of my cakes are bespoke and I pride myself on making a cake that will meet and go beyond your expectations. I do have my own style and won't copy someone elses cake. If you have a specific design, colour etc, in mind send it across and I'll work with you to add my own touch if possible.  I don't make novelty-shaped celebration or wedding cakes. Check out my wedding cake page and celebration cake page for the style of cakes that I design

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I ORDER A CAKE

Finalised orders should be placed at least 28 days in advance for wedding cakes and 7 days in advance for other celebration cakes, Russian honey cake and other goods. If the time is shorter than this I'll do by best to accommodate, but if I have other orders on I may have to charge an additional rush fee - please check out my terms and conditions page

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

Because of the delicate nature of the products I make I don't post anything and try and deliver everything by hand. I'm based in Tooting, south west London, and Bishop Stortford, and deliver across London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex and even further afield. Cost is based on journey time and the milage travelled. Alternatively, you can arrange collection.

HOW SHOULD I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?

If you're collecting a cake please ensure you have a flat and stable surface in your car where the box won't move around or be knocked. The air con should also be switched on full to keep the cake cool while in transit.

DO YOU BAKE ALLERGY-FREE CAKES?

All of my cakes can be made gluten-free and I can also make various dairy-free versions too. Just get in contact to discuss options with me.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CAKE AND HOW LONG WILL IT KEEP FOR?

All of my cakes are made to order and I would always recommend delivering or collecting them on the day that they they're to be eaten, especially for deli-style cakes.

Buttercream & Ganache Cakes - After receiving the cake, if eating within a few hours it can be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. If storing overnight before eating please keep in the fridge. Remove the cake from the fridge at least a couple of hours before eating so that it can soften up. Deli-style cakes are uncovered and can dry out if kept uncovered in the fridge.

Leftover cake should be kept in an airtight container in a cool place out of direct sunlight and eaten within 2 days, or 5 days if kept in the fridge. If the cake contains fresh fruit or curd please keep in the fridge.

Honey Cake and Other Fresh Dairy Cakes – Contains fresh dairy so please keep refrigerated and eat within 3 days of delivery.

Macarons – Please store in the refrigerator and eat within 5 days of delivery

CAN I JUST ORDER SOME MACARONS OR OTHER PATISSERIE?

Obviously my cakes are awesome...;-)...but if you just want to order macarons on their own or other pastries and deserts just let me and we can discuss further. Have a look at the patisserie page on my website to see what I make here.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU WATCHED STAR WARS?

Ooooh, I reckon around 120 times. Come on, test me if you don't believe me...I am the cake designer you're looking for...
