Modern Buttercream Three Tier Wedding Cake At Hedsor House Buckinghamshire Luxury Wedding Venue

Sarah and Matt held their recent wedding at the goreous luxury venue Hedsor House, located near Maidenhead in Buckinghamshire. The Italianate-style country mansion house overlooks the River Thames and was recently voted Tatler's no1 wedding venue.
The colour palette on the day was neutral with white and cream florals, and Sarah wanted a luxurious bespoke modern buttercream three tier wedding cake to compliment this, with added gold accents and finished in my signature precise style with sharp edges.
On the inside the flavours were sticky toffee pudding cake with dates and salted caramel on the bottom tier, Victoria sponge with raspberries in the middle, and chocolate hazelnut praline on the top tier. More information on the flavours that I make can be found on my website here
The buttercream textures are created using different sizes of palette knives with varying amounts of buttercream to create subtle or heavier layers. The variety of flowers used is minimal, with fresh roses and wax flowers.
The location for the cake at Hedsor House is by the grand staircase in the hall before entering the dining room. The way the staircase curves around, it really frames the cake.
The cake is perfectly complimented by the cascading flowers down the staircase and the elegant surroundings.
The wedding cake was spectacular and looked fantastic! Thank you so much. Everyone loved the cake and our caterers saved us a big chunk of the sticky toffee layer, which we were delighted about!
